The languages from that place are very mysterious the terrain is too rough for most outsiders to explore so even in 2022 you don't have many recordings of people speaking these languages also the languages are so spread out the biggest one has under 200k speakers and most of them have under 1000 the media in Papua new Guinea is mostly just in English and in west Papua its all in Indonesian.

I think it slowly developed form ape like sounds over millions of years there may have been languages spoken by nehandertals or homo erectus or even earlier humans they would have been very different from the proto world language that he belives in but still almost as complex as a modern language i dont think there was a real proto language but most modern languages probably are related very loosely.

  5. @Pedro Rocha No vikings did not exist back then and their predecessors stayed in Scandinavia my guess is that their distant predecessors interacted in prehistoric times when the first indo Europeans spread around Europe and the ethnicities of ancient Europe did not exist yet i was wrong about the ecrustians being indo European so if they interacted its a complete mystery when and where.

  11. 15 years ago i only spoke Dutch and l33t speak English and i had no interest in other languages .but thanks to you and some other youtubers i found my passion for language learning. it really improved my life and makes me feel more useful .
