since they have no competition they don't put in any effort in bug testing its hard to tell what is a glitch and what is not since they never communicate with the users when comments started disappearing i thought it was just a glitch and it would be fixed soon .but it has been over a year and clearly intentional but sometimes the deleting of comments becomes so bad you can't post anything but that gets fixed after a few hours but i wouldn't be surprised if youtube one day removes the comment section completely since its not considered essential daly motion already did that . i didn't really see the point of a comment section when i first started using youtube i think there are still a lot of people with this view today .but i love the youtube comments because on forums there is no room for off topic talk so you feel very restricted even on platforms that are considered edgy
