A big problem with the internet now compared to the past is that so many sites force you to make an account for no reason. i used to only need to for things like writing comments and saving things but now you often need one just to read articles or play single player games

unpopular opinion but they should remove most of the books and focus on protecting the wayback machine since there is nothing like it that go back to before 2010. most of the books on there can be found on other places online .
22
they weren't conservative they were just centre left or even far left but it was different conservatives were welcome but a minority but they all just got along

I thought a good way to avoid wokness in software was just to use tech products made in countries were that isn't really a thing like japan or also Russia i know Russia has big problems right now. but they have a lot of good coders. in most countries people just have no interest in trying to do anything interesting with tech in my own country you will just get mocked for not wanting to use windows or a mac. so Russia has a lot of potential even if they are self sabotaging at the moment. the difference is that it seems like most Russian coders don't care about politics and just want to liven peace unlike many western ones that are very political and often don't even like the current government if its not left wing. i guess there could be a small risk of them trying to add spyware into Linux but i don't think that is really possible

marx actually liked the us he was inspired by George Washington .
6
it should be as simple as if its not produced for more than a few years the copyright goes away so this way Disney can keep Mikey mouse if they are not lazy .and we can make copies of things that have become too rare because its not being produced anymore .
6
it was better not saying it was good
5
there isn't much that can be done against this it affects everything in western countries .but opensource has one advantage and that is that people can usually just make their own forks of things so if one gets ruined there will be others to replace it quickly .
5
not very open source of them
5
is it still a computer of you can't code on it without permission ?
5
@vgamedude9811 yea but they mostly use old android phones

2 good things about Wikipedia 1 you can just read things in Hebrew and its probably more to your liking. 2 you can use the history tab for things that existed more than a few years ago and probably find a much better version from about 2008 or another random year but i think they may delete it.

3
and very progressive too i am sure they will love this
3
everything is affected unless you can find an os that is mostly designed in non western regions or maintained by just a handful of people as a hobby but it seems everything is still coming out of America or western Europe because it was the best until recently
2
I don't like them but i don't think they are a monopoly they should focus on google or Microsoft they own too much important stuff meta mostly owns replaceable things
2
don't worry the malware wont work because it doesn't have enough ram
2
this is why i started learning to code i want to make better things and help fix things because there just aren't enough people with the right mindset that have these skills so i must try to do it myself. i wish i started much earlier but in the past it seemed like i couldn't do anything useful anyway .
2
is there any from a non European or American country ?
2
@davidgoodnow269 yea but is it made by Indians? Or other just doesn't involve a lot of Americans and west Europeans east or central European are fine
2
the south African one ?
2
Looted
2
yea but tech magazines are doing worse than non tech magazines
2
this would have been a big problem if the internet was more popular in 1991 they had domains for Czechoslovakia and east Germany and Yugoslavia and the ussr. but nobody used those because almost nobody was using the internet back then at all. the Yugoslavia domain was still used in the 2000s so that one got some actual use and the Ussr domain never got cancelled for some reason but the internet is young.
2
yea and in the tech world it makes even less sense since everything changes so quickly
2
