They probably picked isiXhosa because it has a lot of click sounds so it sounds more stereotypically African. there are some other languages with more click sounds but they are almost extinct. so they picked isiXhosa so they could find people that spoke it. for east Africa they should have picked Swahili or Luganda.

  3.  Joshua Bakker  Yea but by that reasoning the Europeans would have never accomplished anything without inspiration from the Sumerians and Egyptians too. i think the reason why south Africa the Americas and Australia never developed an advanced civilization. was because they where just isolated so they had to invent everything from scratch. and it took anatomically modern Europeans and Asians 10000s of years i figure out things like the wheel agriculture and written language. so its not surprising people completely isolated from the rest of the world did not discover those things after another 10000 years.

  4.  Joshua Bakker  well keep in mind that it took eurasians 40000 years to create the first civilizations. so it's not really something that just happens naturally. humans evolved to live in small tribes. the rise of civilization was a rare fluke.
