Remember back in the 2000s and late 90s most internet companies didn't last long at all .there was a great website that was very popular and suddenly they where just bankrupt out of nowhere. i remember when the most popular image hosts at the time photo bucket and tiny pic got ruined suddenly. a massive amount of the internet in the early 2000s was hosted on geocites and anglefire but they got shut down too .this is more of a hardware company but in the same era 3dfx they where founded in 1996. they where the worlds biggest gpu manufacturer in 1998 and in 2000 they where bankrupt. it is quite weird how for the last 10 years the same websites have stayed big while they are making mistakes that are much bigger than the mistakes of a lot of these 2000s and 90s tech companies.

  4. Twitter didn't die people keep posting things i want to see on there. its like people just refuse to try something different these days.

  5. Yea its very annoying i don't want to use twitter but since they are always on top of the search results sometimes i have to go on there to find the info i need i had an account but they banned me for "spamming"

  7. Some of these obscure twitter alternatives already support Japanese and most major languages in the world. mastodon right now is over 50% Japanese people you will actually have a hard time enjoying it of you don't know Japanese despite the original creators being European.
