  2. i still think its because of the decades of overpopulation hysteria only in the last few years has there been some mainstream pushback .but everyone who is an adult right now grew up when this was seen as common sense. i miss the 2000s and 90s and they were doing this in the 80s 70s 60s 50s and even earlier decades. but this was one thing we were wrong about back then that we are only now finding out .
