A lot of people are thoughtless a$$holes. Guys like Gordon Ryan and George St. Pierre are true sportsman, decent human beings and at the top level of skill.

Imagine if he had never been seriously injured, or just injured much less. What a beast. As and American, that "win" by Gardener was embarrassing.
56
@mokseee I don't know him personally but him choosing to not harm people is a decent character trait imo.
39
I've seen dude who look like they are waiting for the bus waiting for the fight to start.
29
Agree those BS charges need to be dropped.
14
All those charges against Cain need to be dropped. That is some BS.
11
His loss to Buakaw was not controversial.
10
I think if he didn't get injured so much he would have been the best in history. I think he could have beat Francis.
6
This guy does the same thing over and over. In high level competition, this will be exploited.
6
He would smash Jones imo.
6
Its crazy how people just stand there for that abuse, gtfo the way.

@ikewangen Winning on a single technicality, that was the result of a rules change made right before the match specifically so you would have a chance against your opponent, is pathetic. If it was me who won like that, I would not count it as a win. You gotta BEAT the other guy, be better than he is. I wrestled all though school, I know how I would feel. If it were possible, I would say "Lets do that again". I would say "I know I won a technecality, but Alexander is clearly the better wrestler."
5
@ikewangen No they don't. Especially not in such a big way. You clearly never wrestled so you don't know how huge that rule change was. I care because he did not win by skill or strength or spirit, but won by a rule change meant to specifically increases his chances of victory. It's not a win unless you are some kind of bureaucrat.
5
He is joining the UFC. Will be interesting to see the first person who beats this guy.
5
145 pounds.
4
Do they not believe in checking low kicks in Russia?
4
This kid has power in his hands but his body is taking too much damage to achieve his victories. He may have a short career, because he is going to wind up injured if he doesn't change.
4
Tenshin is very accurate.
4
Never underestimate a midgets fury.
3
You can do a lot with PEDs.
3
@lordkira9791 I wouldn't know, I weight 245 😂😅
3
Also he was unfamiliar with the clinch game, and Alister delivered some vicious knees. I think that was just the result of his inexperience and I don't think the fight would go that way now.
3
I think he would whip Jones. Jones could barely beat Gus and was sent to the hospital in a wheelchair after a very questionable decision. Dana made sure he would only fight people he thought he could beat by letting him choose his fights. Dana wanted to create a brand.
3
No he isn't.
2
Jones will run away from him, as he has from anyone who was a serious threat. Dana let him pick his fights, insane. Who he chose to avoid spoke volumes, if Ngannou had stayed in he would have crushed jones.
2
@OSYofRR Whose arm did he break?
2
@9Ynw9Fik9 I've been in Thailand 14 years already and have met very few true MMA fighters. Maybe you think you're something you're not? Most Thai boxers have no grappling or take down defense, that's a fact.
2
@uksecul9136 Not for this guy, that is crazy body fat. No Thai who is a nug muay is going to have that much body fat, ridiculous. I walk around @245 with 10% body fat, I could not drop below 220 without losing a massive amount of muscle. lowest level of body fat one could go into a fight with even remotely healthy is 4-5%.
2
@WeinerPanda He wasn't innocent. How would you know if he was anyway?
2
Yes, or just a lot less injuries. Dude had a ton of them.
2
Lmfao, no he won't. Jones will never submit him, he better run far, far away from this guy.
2
What's wrong with this dudes belly button?
2
Intentional eye pokes should result in a DQ.
2
If this dude really wants to challenge himself, he should try MMA.
2
@toportime They aren't random. They are regular and predictable. And they are the same like 5-6 techniques. Always thrown the same way.
2
A stretch? How much experience you have in MMA? Martial arts? I'd say none based on your comment. If Gustaffson could take Jones to his limit and put him in the hospital, this guy would kill him.
1
@justinjayman4641 Lol you've got to be trolling.
1
@brodysievers5163 He has a better ground game, based on my experience as a wrestler and life long martial artist
1
Decent wrestling? You must have never wrestled, his is top notch.
1
I think he can do it. He only lost to Overeem due to not having and answer for the clench game, the inexperience hurt him. But I'm sure he has remedied that.
1
It's called PEDs.
1
Randy Couture did the same thing, except he started in his mid 30s.
1
If someone had used straight punches right down the gutter they would have taken Mike out every time. Dude was wide open and always dropping his hands.
1
Showcased decent sambo skills? What?? Could you lay on the BS any thicker?
1
@fred_fred_fred Ah ok thanks!
1
@hellothere-rr7kc You must be psychic.
1
@teovu5557 I forgot nothing, it isn't the same at all as wrestling, speaking as someone who has both wrestled and done Muay. Muay Thai has no ground game whatsoever. Wrestling is at least 50% ground game.
1
@KinkyHeadMonkey He can train, but it will take him years to catch up in grappling. Even then he will be inferior to the guys who have been grappling their whole lives.
1
Lots of good Russian boxers nowadays.
1
No... you can train for that. Don't have to be born with it.
