  5. Muhammed #1?? Would love to see the reasoning behind that. I would argue that Jesus, Alexander the Great, the Buddha and possibly Confucius were all more influential. Alexander literally turned the world order upside down, Mohammed did no such thing. He turned things upside down in his particular area. Alexander connected east and west in a way that changed the world dramatically forever. The Buddha existed 500 years before Jesus, and is the real basis for Jesus's doctrine in the New Testament. Without Christianity there would be no Islam, so it is easy to see that both Jesus and Buddha are more influential than Mohammed.

But in non-Muslim areas, they have little. Also that has little to do with how much muslims have changed the world over time. I agree Mohammed was very influential, just not as high as the Buddha or Alexander the great.
