This isn't just Japan. I'd say it's the entire developed world.

I have to say, being respectful is just as important as being confident in the US, as a general thing. If you are disrespectful you will be shut out of a lot of things and potentially wind up in prison. Confidence can't really make up for this.

Asian women age so well.

It's due to a tiny international "elite". That wield outsized power in control and they absolutely hate most of humanity, especially the middle class. It isn't so much about city life, but how it is structured and controlled.
56
There is definitely a false humility in people who are proud not to wear makeup. It's a variation of the humble brag. I have noticed it is people with good skin or are attractive that are more likely to not wear makeup. If they had bad skin, or perceived as ugly, would they still be the same? I have my doubts.
55
After watching this, all I can think is "no wonder Japanese have dating/marriage troubles!"
52
I wish people understood the financial system. If they did, as Henry Ford and Andrew Jackson said: There would be a revolution before morning.
36
There is no debate. It is factually, in the most obvious way, terrible. Anyone attempting to debate in favor of it is just a sophist arguing for an agenda.
32
I agree. I don't understand it either.
31
This - 100%.
28
They all have regrets. All of them.
27
Japan has had very few women leaders? That's a good thing.
21
If you have any amount of DEI , it is too much.
20
How can you look too young? That's nonsense. You are what you are. Asians look younger in general. People just have to accept that until a few years ago the age of consent in Japan was 13. It's a different culture, every country has to make it's own call in regards to this.
20
Yes, this. The weak yen is the fault of their own central bank.
19
What are you talking about? DEI is heavily criticized in the west. Especially in the US.
18
If she does it in the US there's a good chance she will wind up "disappearing".
18
The lack of critical thinking skills many of these people displayed disappointed me the most.
17
How can these girls do that to their families?? Selfish as hell.
16
Girls going into porn is extreme disrespect to their parents, what a way to repay them for raising you! It's the kind of thing that can make me understand honor killings.
16
I totally played the gaijin card when I was in Japan. Haven't been back since covid, but went there every year for many years prior. If you are a tall, good looking gaijin, then embrace it. As Nobita said, Japanese judge very much on outer appearances so if you are not good looking Japanese will find you more scary instead of having some attraction to you.

@honkhonk6359 Idk if gen Z has been disproportionately screwed, I think a lot of millennials are equally screwed. Please go watch movies from the 1980s back to the 1950s, and realize what has been lost, and how everyone who is younger than a boomer has been royally screwed. Gen Z needs to look to the past to see what we had and what they deserve. The future can be bright if people come together, but it seems Gen Z is clueless about how good things once were, and why they are no longer good. Don't blame the boomers entirely, they are the victims of massive and relentless brainwashing and psychological warfare. The boomers never had a chance. We have the internet, and it is revealing the truth about the world the boomers could have never learned in their time. They were easy to lie to and exploit. People in general were, back to the beginning really.
15
Damn that's terrible. It still doesn't justify nuking an entire city.
15
It depends on the person's perception of themselves whether they wear makeup or not.
13
Taxing is not a win. If you understood the financial system, you would realize it's a bad thing, and doesn't pay for any of the services or infrastructure that you think it does. Taxes exist solely to reduce your ability to grow wealth.
12
What a stupid comment. Destroying democracy? Ah yes, it's destroying democracy when the voters got what they wanted, isn't it? Also, nationalism is a good thing.

I don't think getting handed citizenship makes you American. There are lots of people who have citizenship I do not consider American.
10
No one acted fearful towards me while in Japan 🤔 Maybe its an appearance thing? Or maybe its how you are interpreting their behavior?
9
I enjoy it.
9
It's sad to see them so messed up and brainwashed about it. It is really mindless.
9
@AUniqueHandleName444 Yes and no on the "things are better now". I'd say on the social end of things were are worse off now.
9
American news show the truth? You must be joking.
9
Your TDS is literal insanity.
9
Financially it would benefit Japan a lot to have tourists.
8
Wow, insecurity is the reason she went into porn??
8
@tomservo5007 It is an opinion and you don't understand the mean of "xenophobic" if you think Japan is. You are conflating insular with xenophobic, they are not the same thing.
8
I think part of it is exacerbated by the fact that during covid almost no one visited. So a couple years of that creates a more extreme contrast.
8
I question the truth of that, simply because the allied countries in ww1 said the same thing about the Germans, and it was an absolute lie. Maybe it did happen in the PI, but I take every story like that with a grain of salt.
8
It's not xenophobic, it is insular. Even if it was xenophobic, so what? It's their country, they can run it how they see fit as long as they aren't hurting anyone or cruel to animals (some Japanese can be cruel with this thing of eating live food - disgusting and awful!). I felt like I got special treatment in Japan, but that might be due to my appearance. If there is one thing I have noticed in Asia, physically beautiful people get a lot of things easily and ugly people are rejected and treated almost as if they are subhuman (of course this doesn't apply to everyone there, just saying it is common).
7
Lol. Accurate.
7
You guys are still on about the covid nonsense??? WTF move on like the rest of the world.
7
The American guy is speaking sense!
7
She isn't going to be able to do this much longer, so she should enjoy it while she can I guess.
7
Uh, Nobita I love your work but don't present articles by foreigners as native Japanese sentiment.
7
I see the Japanese more as protective of their nation, culture and people. They aren't xenophobic. If they are anything they are insular but not xenophobic. Xenophobic means you don't like anything outside your group and that groups culture. And as you said, they have adopted many, many foreign cultural trends. They just need to NOT embrace mass immigration.
7
Yup. Aristotle is important reading that too few people do nowadays.
6
It is sad to see Japan so messed up.

It depends on the races involved. Few people care if Whites and Asians or Whites and Latins or say a Indian mixed together. Because these are all genes that can work well together, and whoever their children reproduce with they will wind up looking like that race. I dated a girl who was 1/8 Chinese and she was as blonde and blue eyed as they come, you really couldn't tell. It's the same in the other direction. What no one wants their kids to mix with is blacks, for the reason the genes do not go well together. Even one of my friends who is half white, 1/4 hispanic 1/4 black, said her half black father told her to never date black guys. If you have even one black ancestor it takes many generations to breed out. Did you know that any European and any Asian are more closely related to each other than either is to blacks? Apparently blacks mixed with some primitive Homo Ergaster variant 33-36,000 years ago. That is why they are so different from Europeans or Asians. Genetics are interesting.
6
@Ezixax Sort of depends on the country. In the US or Eastern Europe, it is pretty much as bad. Another person commented that Korea is even worse, I'd agree with that statement. People cared a lot less in Australia/New Zealand the last time I was there but that was over 10 years ago. But I would say it is easy to find people with this mentality in any of these countries.
