I totally understand that as someone who does not drink or smoke or do drugs. Drinking is almost a requirement for recreational social interaction in the US, or smoking weed. If you like activities like chess, that is even more isolating. I've made the most friends in martial arts classes and at the gym. I am very into firearms and like to keep up my military training, but I do not like to hunt, and all the guys hunt, eat meat etc. We can have good interactions training, but as for hanging out with them when we are not training, no thanks. I don't have the sexual issue tho, if anything I have slept with too many women and it caused me to pass up many good partners. Also the older you get the more difficult it is if you don't have kids.

Well start dating then! Then you can meet a man who will be both friend and lover, and have kids of your own.

If I feel alone, it is because I feel apart from others, even if I am surrounded by them. I don't like the majority of humanity, I think most people are thoughtless NPCs, and only cultivate an appearance of being good because of the punishments that will come if they do not. I have had to be very social due to my various jobs, and cultivate a connection with people I've never met before, but the whole covid thing made at least 50% of humanity repulsive to me, and caused me to lose the little faith I had in people. The only way I feel uplifted by humanity is when I see people treating animals with kindness. Dogs are better than 95% of humanity.

To cultivate a different society. An atomized society of a$$holes is not going to be one that inspires togetherness.
