  8. As David states, Roosevelt had to be pushed by labor and activists (and a bit by Eleanor) to enact the New Deal legislation. He was not a hero, not a superhero. And we don't need Bernie to be our hero. Same with AOC and anyone else. We are the adults in the room and must act accordingly. We must do for ourselves, with their wise leadership and not with hero worship from us.
