  1. You're still thinking state vs state, the map you have at 15:58 is more indicative of what it would be like, at best certain counties vs the rest of the state... An archipelago of urban areas is not going to be able to enlist people from the surrounding counties and force them to fight for them, if they try it they will find mutiny and those conscripts switching sides like when the Irish joined the Scots in the movie Braveheart... though not exactly like that. You touch on it and your assessment is correct around that map. You are also missing the key component of what is driving all of this, which is a subversion that started in universities, progressed through grade schools, and is now invading corporate spaces. I've watched it happen in real time during my 53 laps around the sun. We used to fight them, I served in Europe in the 80s and 90s and got a big chunk of their wall from Berlin when it came down in '89. That is who we are up against, urban people who have been forced into dependency and want to retain it and the largess they get a small piece of as a result, rather than going out, earning it, building something, and investing in their own lives. Urban people would rather be taken care of than be the one putting in the work to produce what people need to survive. Like you stated later... It really is urban vs rural, and sure the cities have the numbers, but they are also very vulnerable. Nowhere to grow food, no way to produce electricity, not enough water for everyone who lives there... if those supply chains are severed. A siege of a modern city would be nightmarish for its inhabitants, as they don't even know how to do the basic things that people did daily in centuries past. When the corner store is empty, what will they do? They might assume they can go out and take what they want, but that won't work in the US as people outside the cities are not exactly helpless on their own. States like CA, IL, NY, and NJ have made it harder to defend yourself from the mob, but other states more than make up for it. The only way those urban wannabes can do things like they did in 2020 is if the city and state allow it, like you said they are incapable of working together and staying cohesive. The thing that bothers me is what happens after the conflict. What fills the power vacuum? That is the terrifying question. I already know what its like, been there, done that, got the T shirt and permanent limp with the nightmares as a bonus. I grew up in conflict, war felt like home to me. Hard living is comfortable to men such as myself, we have lived that way our entire lives. However, we are the leave me alone types, and will only get involved if we are imposed upon. Seems like the financial tactic being used right now leaves us with nobody to go against, since its global. A possible spark is the first week of November, it seems readily apparent that its all going hard red, but if we see the early morning vertical lines putting blue just ahead after it all closes, you can bet there will be a conflict within the next six months.
