@@ChristianHill-ep2ho been doing that since I got out of the US military in 2005. Its rare I am anywhere near a city. If I am driving somewhere, I have more than enough in the vehicle with me to defend myself for a long long time.

@vasiliyshukshin7466 when I got to Europe in 1989, they gave us some interesting training, I got more interesting training about driving in the desert later on. There are things I look for as a result, and places I simply do not go unless I have no other choice, and there is a method to how I drive that always leaves me an escape. You don't need armor if you are not there. If you happen to be there, then its best to make a big impression as you move on them, taking out targets as you go. You might be a sitting duck and unaware of what is going on around you, but I am not. I am the unassuming harmless looking guy, who will do some damage.

@vasiliyshukshin7466 it has so far, I use the same methods and tactics all the time, its part of why I very rarely get tickets and avoid altercations. I really don't need to be paying the medical bills of some college kid who decided to look tough by messing with the old guy. I avoid places where those types congregate.
