I am not a prepper, but due to where I live, my military training/experience, growing up on a farm, and having to do things myself most of my life, I have ended up doing a lot of things preppers do... and a lot of things they don't. What will you do if the trucks and trains stop moving, gasoline runs out, food vanishes from the shelves, and people in the cities start eating each other? Well, I will be driving, staying fat, and teaching people how to make all the shit they need.
Why do I grow food, produce fuel, and electricity? Because I get snowed in for days at a time all winter, the power goes off all the damn time even on beautiful sunny summer days, and I am on a fixed income where I get paid once a month. I have to plan ahead, buy groceries for a week at a time (I stock up too), I need multiple vehicles in case one breaks, and back in 2007 gasoline cost too much for me to drive into town more than twice a month, so I learned how to make ethanol and make my vehicles run on it. I am debt free, own my land, and if you don't know its here you will drive right by it.
The only thing about the ammo situation right now is I am not buying an M1 Garand simply because I can't get 30.06 for it. Man do I have that end of things covered... if I can get it from the bottom of the lake of course.
I have a locals too. Nobody knows about it yet, mostly because I haven't told anyone about it.

@Enpeesee Grayscale can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.. most people complain about ethanol, funny thing is its the additives they put in that cause all the problems. Its not ethanol causing the problems.
Ethanol is vodka, fuel ethanol is very high proof, with 20% or less water in it. Any starch or sugar, even things like waste paper can be used to make fuel.
Whiskey, vodka, wine, beer, all have ethanol in them, its the same stuff no matter how its made, the differences are in proof, how much of the fermentation solids are left in it, and if its aged or not.
