I grew up on a farm, worked in factories as a machinist, in auto repair shops as a mechanic and the owner, was in the USAF for years.... while we had women in the factories and military, they did all the soft, easy, clean jobs, and the men did all the dangerous, dirty, heavy lifting work. The funny thing is we all got paid the same, they did a fraction of the work and got paid what men doing real work were paid.

I am twice divorced, so you are doing fine avoiding them.
I'm 5'8 as well, lots of them turn me down when I say hi in passing, I'm being polite and they think I want them... Its funny, they are lucky I acknowledged they exist. I'm 54, grew up on a Nebraska farm with 150 to 300 head of cattle at any given time, about 800 acres for growing and several pastures around the area. Its probably not in your genetics to pack on muscle, by the time I was 17 I was 170lbs and benching 265. By 19 I was 180 and benching over 330 when I enlisted way back in 1988. Wrestling helped too.
Desert Shield packed over 50lbs of muscle mass on me and 450 was an easy press. I am still huge today, and its still easy to gain muscle. My weight keeps going up but you can see my ribs and I don't have extra chins. Have a belly, but its not huge, its almost 20 inches smaller than my chest. I look like a gorilla and most women aren't into that look, but some are.
It could be what you eat and what you do. Nobody else I worked with in the military gained muscle mass like I did. Nobody did on the farm either. It takes an incredible amount of protein to pack on muscle like I did. I never used powders, juice, or any supplements at all. Lots of meat and eggs though.
It also takes a mind numbing amount of work to pack on muscle like I did. To get an idea, pick up two 5 gallon igloo coolers in each hand, and run up three stories with them, and do that for 12 hours. Alternating days push two F150s bumper to bumper across Walmart parking lots.
I go by this name because the USAF said I was too obese when I came back from Kuwait in 2001 with a six pack, absolutely shredded, weighing the lightest I have been since 1991, and they put me on the weight program. I am more 'power lifter' than body builder. So a short wide guy with huge arms and no neck, some women dig it, most don't.

@kristopherexe577 my parents were together until mom passed in 2014, they didn't like me, but they were together. My ex wife's dad took off, and after seeing how her mom and her are, I can see why. I stubbornly refused to leave my kids, no matter what she did and she did a lot, then the court forced me out of their lives. I had to pay, but I rarely got to see them, and I could not protect them from her or the males she brought around.
She told them I didn't care about them, only the money. She kicked them both out when they turned 19 and the support ended. She told them I wasn't giving her any support, while 71% of my gross was being given to her before I ever saw it. She told them I mistreated all of them when they were little, completely gaslighting them because they remembered me teaching them to read, count, run computers, and more. She told them I ignored them, when in reality I was ignoring her because she liked to get irrationally angry to put it VERY mildly.
When they were teenagers and came to spend a summer with me in 2009, they both realized their mother not only lied, but was getting most of my income and wasting it on herself. The two times I had both of them the courts seized my bank account as a punitive measure, it did not go to the ex, they just took it and kept it while I had my kids with me. An entire month with zero money, trying to keep me from getting time with my kids. Still I managed to have food in the house all month, where she would take the $6000 she got from her 2nd husband and me, and waste it on herself in a week, then the kids would be hungry for the last two weeks of every month.
If your dad knows you exist, he probably wanted to have you in his life. However, she undoubtedly made that so impossible and horrific that its easier for him to tell himself you don't exist. I had to do that to keep my sanity, and to stop myself from checking out. From 2001 to 2009 I got a total of 12 days with them. Every time I came home on leave, I would spend most of that week trying to find them. Then I would get an afternoon with them at most.
I loved being a dad and teaching my daughters everything they needed to know. I was robbed of all those years, and yes I am VERY salty about it. Find your dad, but expect him to be distant, he had to be if he is anything like me.
