Live in an area where actors and other millionaires want a vacation home, yeah you're not going to afford a place to live if you're not one of 'them'. I on a fixed income, I won't even try to live in a place like that. I know I can't. Literally any other town in Wyoming is affordable, you don't have to live in the expensive areas. I live on $4k a month, own 13 acres, built a 32x48 shop, built a 1050 sqft home, and paid it all off in 8 years. I'd be living under a bridge in LA, NYC, Chicago, etc.
The video Bo is talking about here is made by people who are jealous and resentful of people who have more. Their idea is to take from the people who have things, and give it to those who don't want to work. In my part of Northern Michigan, people can live on $1500 a month. $3k a month will get you land and a home like I have.
If the rich want services, they'll need to hire people directly and provide them a place to live. Otherwise, they will have to travel to get food. If you can't afford to live there..... DON'T. It's that simple. Where I live is stunningly beautiful, and cheap. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE YOU CAN AFFORD. The USA is a big place. Avoid cities, it's that simple.
