SHORT GUYS.. Look up Richard J. Flaherty. Green Beret, Airborne, multi tour Nam veteran. Had to get a waiver just to join the Army. He was hard core and I would tower over him if we had ever met. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, put in the work, and your life will improve.
I'm 5'8" and now I am 55. I wrestled in high school, was benching 265lbs when I was 17 and weighed 167lbs-175lbs. I was a monster who could defeat the 185 and hvy on most teams, and all the small guys. I pinned more than half of my 26 wins, K/O.'ed one, and broke several bones on others. If my opponent was taller than 5'10", he had almost no chance against me. I am far stronger now, and have even more training. So its amusing when someone's tall boyfriend tries to intimidate me. I used that in the military, and I never found anyone that could hang, who was not also a wrestler.
I have somewhere between 150 and 200 notches, I lost track back in the early 90s. I think the first ex was like 89 or 90. I have a gorilla belly now and I STILL get attention from the 18-26 crowd, and the older than 40 examples are thrilled to have me even look at them and say hi in public. Huge smiles just like they would do when they were teenagers looking at the school quarterback. The 30 somethings are looking for someone to allow them to not work, and pay their bills/take care of their kids. Once they hit 30, they lose interest in me fast.. lol. I am the fun muscle bound freak, not a long term possibility.
My younger brother is 5'6" if he stretches a bit. You really don't want to mess with him. Army vet, 7 combat deployments, ended his 23 years as a UH60 pilot/instructor. He did better in wrestling than I did, and was a 138lb monster. His wife was quite the hotty 30 years ago, and they are still together. He is hard core when he needs to be.
