I'm a 55 year old veteran, who used to push 10,000lb 463L pallets on to planes.. by myself. Usually takes 3 or 4 guys to do it, and you can't fit enough split tails behind a 10k pallet to move it on the rollers. Yeah.. I am kinda huge and heavily muscled, the little airlift we did in 1990-91 made me just a tad more powerful than most people. Had a much vaunted and lauded all split tail C5 air crew stand around in Kuwait watching me load their entire aircraft, 36 pallets of varying weight, from 1500lbs to 9,000lbs, with their jaws on the floor. I even had to put the pallet locks in, which is the loadmaster's job, not air cargo's job. That was in 2004 when I was 35 years old. The reservists didn't want to push in 130F heat, so I ended up loading most of the planes alone.. fun times. Usually its a crew of 10 to 15 people pushing pallets on planes.
Any XX types wanna see if they can hang with me in lifting stuff or self defense?
