  1. A Cuban family moved to my small Nebraska town in the 1980s, one of the girls was in my class and Irene is a very good friend all these years later. She was 13 when she left Cuba. I was amazed that her younger sister who was too young to remember was pushing socialism and other marxist crap on facebook. When I commented on that fact, and told her to speak to her parents about socialism, she blocked me. Irene still talks to me, but her sister doesn't. In only one generation, someone who escaped that dystopia as a very small child, wants to bring it here where she lives now. That is the pervasiveness of peer pressure exploiting ignorance.
