  1. I'm a disabled veteran in the US, 100% service connected. What they are telling veterans like myself in Canada is exactly the same thought process as was used back then. Its happening again, as they claim everyone else is doing it. They never really change, do they?

  5.  @hachwarwickshire292  you'd be right, unless someone is said to be a witch. When christians are in charge, we get a different set of arbitrary reasons to do the same thing. That is the entire reason we have the evidentiary laws that we have now, because of what happened in Salem and other places just one lifetime before the Declaration of Independence was written. However, I agree with you that this sort of thing should not happen. I am not a fan of authoritarians of any flavor. That is the problem with ideologies, when they are in power, things like this happen to 'others' and its lauded by the zealots.

  7.  @lunaflamed  ya do realize there was considerable time between his imprisonment when he wrote his book, and when he started eradicating the 'un-utilitarian' types as I will refer to them on here. It was the disabled and mentally unwell who were used to develop and perfect the gaseous methods. Ost = East, so the Russian side of things, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Ukraine, etc. You can like the guy if you want, but I will forever not be a fan of him or his frenemy Joe S and the rest of them over there. After 1992 I got to meet lots of Russian speaking people, and we got along great, absolutely wonderful men and women. Not a fan of the pol stuff in Europe. I take people as individuals, not as avatars of some arbitrary group and the assumption that they are all the same. Aka the American way of doing things... before the collective types subverted and infected damn near everything.
