It might work where you're at, but the 2018s here in the upper peninsula have had rusted body parts and brake lines for some time now. The salt is put heavily on the roads, and your dark vehicle will turn gray in ten miles or so. I buy $500 vehicles with decent frame/unibody, repair them enough to drive daily, then sacrifice them to the NaCl gods. If you care about your vehicle, you don't drive it once the salt trucks come out, and it stays parked until the second spring rain with no more snow washes the salt from the roads.
So maybe I will try the stuff on a winter beater, and see if it slows the rot or not. I'm betting it will look like the 2018 in a year or two. I have a couple 4x4 Silverados I am rebuilding right now, sandblasting the frames, rebuilding the suspensions, painting everything under them... just for use as a winter beater. Might be a quality harsh acid test of the stuff. If it works here, it will work anywhere. Check out my 'show quality' vehicles if you want to see epic rust.
