  1. Identify a problem, presuppose a reason for said problem, look only so far as is needed to support the presupposition, then prescribe a solution based on the erroneous assertion presupposed so it fits an ideological outlook. Makes perfect sense to the left minded. I am a gearhead, you can discount me as being nothing but a gray haired old man who gets dirty working on cars if you like. However, there is a system, a rather scientific method of diagnosing and repairing vehicles and other machines, that if you use what I wrote in the first paragraph, you will never actually fix the problem. Lets make it easy, the car you drive is running out of oil so you have to put more in to stop the lifters stop clattering and make the bright red light on the dash to go out. The left mind is to assert its due to things not being equal due to design flaws, such as leaks or whatnot, and the solution it so add a complex system that carries vastly more oil and delivers it to the engine for you. Add a tank on the roof of the car to supply more oil, that is their first solution. The second solution they posit is banning all cars and trucks because they have oil in them. Then you have the right mind, the one I ascribe to, where you look for causes. Where is the oil going? Is it being burned or is it escaping the engine in the form of a leak? Maybe your neighbor is opening the hood nd siphoning some out to start his Hibachi grill. it is in the realm of possibility, but unlikely its going to start a grill. Look under the vehicle to see if there is a puddle where it sits overnight. If there is a puddle, how large is it and can you see where its dripping from? Follow the drips up the engine block and find the leaking valve cover. Remove the cover, clean it well, replace the gasket, and reinstall it. Now drive it around to check for other leaks and to ensure you repaired that leak. Identify a problem. Find the cause. Repair or remedy the cause. Throwing money at it doesn't fix it, and adding more oil just wastes oil because its dripping out of the engine. I wonder if this one will be hidden as well. They usually are.
