  2. No mention of Mickey Thompson's 406mph one way run in 1960? Only a broken transmission kept him from making a pass going the other way. He did it with only 25L or 1556ci worth of Pontiac V8 rather than aircraft engines. Seems we have a bit of a British bias here. ;)
