  3. Pat Tillman quit the NFL. and became an Army ranger to fight in Afghanistan after September 11th. We were there to destroy al-quaidas ability to wage terrorism. In other words, saving innocent lives. He was outspoken about how the war was waged, and died in a friendly fire accident. Some men are absolute, dedicated heroes. Military or not. They risked their lives to save others.
