  4.  @tomoates8568  my bumper sticker slogan isn't a detailed census. There are good people who fell into crime and bad people who chose to be a cop. Obviously, the cops are the 'good guys' except when they aren't. And a certain type of man wants to be in that brotherhood with the soldier at war power and danger. Some dogs are just mean, but not to their owner. But any stranger gets the teeth. Cops are dogs. Some are vicious, but all have the ability to be. Criminals are a degree of wolves, foxes, squirrels, and strange dogs. Psychopaths are not looking for a life of failure. If they can become a cop, a lawyer, a surgeon, a politician or CEO they will.
