During that time, he had abusive cellies, and one beat down over stolen cake ( he didn't do it ) He got through his drug withdrawals, started reading the Bible, and learned he had dyslexia, wasn't in fact stupid. With His improved reading skills, he got into philosophy. His parole officer was very lenient and made sure he went to therapy. For a time he relapsed and was homeless, but his P.O. helped him get a job and a place. Carl appreciates everyday in his apartment and the dogs that love him. He is glad to be drug free, out of jail, productive and that someone took,a chance on him. This is Carl's success story.
