  1. Osama bin Laden wanted to jumpstart a holy war with the West by making us enraged about Sept 11. He was absolutely willing to cause untold death, even of Muslims because they believe in a Paradise. So, dying while fighting The Great Satan would ensure future afterlife happiness. That actually is insane. Hitler at least thought in real time and space even if his Third Reich only lasted a decade or so.
