Then you also have to consider China's protectionism under which no foreign battery makers were allowed to enforce their IPR or partcipate in China's local EV market since 2016.

  23. Sure, all enteprises have firewalls, loggings, etc, etc.. that must be why Google, Facebook, Yahoo and other big tech companies get hacked. Apple is no different. Some seem to believe that because Apple is so big, they could do no wrong, but having worked with Apple as a customer at my last job, I could tell you, it's extremely naive to put so much faith in the company. GOOG, FB are probably far more technically competent and thorough, but they still get hacked. Apple is nowhere to these companies, except in the mobile sector (eg, iPhones).

Nobody is under illusion that Chinese smartphones are so good that nobody, less than 1%, wants Samsung smartphones. The same can be said for Hyundai/Kia cars -- especially now they jumped from #5 in global sales to #3 while their Chinese sales plummeted from 10% to 1%.
