Haven't you heard that Russian offerd hydrogen flouride to South Korea? North Korea's ally Russia can provide them as much as the North wants with so little hassle. So why risk with sanctions? It sounds like you Japanese are lying.

"Japan Cites ‘National Security’ in Free Trade Crackdown. Sound Familiar?" New York Time, July 15, 2019. It doesn't look like they are too crazy about Abe's "vague" security threat.

SellKospi which is why Japan has NOT produced any evidence of such violation by South Koreans. South Koreans have on the other reported a few days ago that Japan's lapse in controlling or enforcing export control against the North and have revealed 30 such blatant violations by Japan.

I don't think it's all bad to assert national supremacy or whatever they feel like. Trump can do this because of the thriving US economy and lowest unemployment. Abe's got nothing.

US has offered to mediate the situation there. It's important for the US to resolve this matter, as the political conflict between the two could end up benefiting China, which is a greater threat to the US.

@Sunflower-rr2jn Sure, it's just a regional political dispute that doesn't really concern them much. It's certainly nowhere as big as Huawei or Trump's war with China.

politically yes Japan is a bit less mature, but I've always thought South Korea inherited such system from Japan after liberation in 1945.

why? Trump is a peace president. He doesn't want any military conflict with North Korea.

@katherinepark3905 : sounds like you are fairly clueless. Japan's top imports are industrial chemicals and machineries, not consumer goods. Boycotting Uniqlo won't do much at all. I'm not sure if South Korea was all wonderful and prosperous under Park Guen Hye.

I doubt it.
