@infoworld7706 : this has been going on at least since 2013 when Xie's dictatorship started. Remember foreign brands like Samsung and Hyundai which topped the Chinese smartphone and auto market? They now have less than 1% of the Chinese market share under Xie's command to force them out to make room for domestic companies. Do you know LG Chem, the world's largest battery maker outside China? China had a whitelist telling all domestic EV companies to buy from those only from the whitelist, which only contained BYD/CATL, and a few other domestic companies; no foreign companies. >> so why it hasn't happened a few years ago? << With regards to EVs, remember that Chinese battery makers like BYD/CATL were struggling with LFP batteries until 2021 and BYD only begun to make LFP EVs in big numbers.
