  1. There were 3 basic SABA concepts that BAe. There was the twin tail boom P.1238 and the canard P.1233-1 which were both pusher turbo-propfans using the Avco Lycoming T.55 as the engine. The other concept was the P.1234 which came in 3 variants all of which were jet powered: the Dash 1 which was armed with a gun turret; the Dash 2 with a straight wing; and the delda-winged Dash 3. The Dash and Dash 3 were designed around the RR Adour engine, whilst the Dash 2 was designed around the Aco Lycoming ALF.502 engine (a jet version of the T.55).
