  1. Lots of wheels are tightened by hand. Nothing wrong with that, provided the correct torque is applied.

  2. @61rampy65  you must have a lovely head of air, with all the hair splitting you do. Using any manual tool is hand tightened. Using your fingers is also hand tightened. I'm not an authority, but do have experience. You just seem to have a mouth and no experience.

  5. @hyrumzaugg5749  and the driver didn't notice? They shouldn't be on the road if they couldn't tell they had a loose wheel.

  6. @61rampy65  I do know what I'm talking about. It happened to a car I was driving on private land as a demonstration of why you have to take care when attaching a wheel to a car. It didn't last a minute at less than 20 mph before working loose enough to let the wheel wobble. It was spanner tight but hadn't had a tongue wrench used on it.
