  2.  @ddt77ta  depends on the second citizenship and how you obtained it. citizenship by descent is fine and if for exciting circumstances your 4 grandparents hold 4 different citizenships those will trickle down to you and germany will not flinch. if your former country wont let you renounce or drags its bureaucratic feet then germany will also wave the "german citizenship only" stance; happens with citizens of Cuba or Iran etc. who will be dual citizens by decree. a sidenote: you can apply for keep of german citizenship prior to naturalization elsewhere, but you will have to apply early. germany might waive all of the stricter requirements soon-ish; time will tell.
