  1. it might be known by now, but to somebody it also might be still a surprise: IBAN is not only a thing in europe (where everybody and their grandma use it), but used for example Kuwait, Quatar, Bahrain and UAE, also St. Barth, St. Martin, St. Lucia, Seychelles and Mauritius etc. are members of the IBAN club.
