  1. no scientist worth their salt said sun goes supernova, our star is to small. but sun will go red giant and nobody wants to stay on earth to witness that. fortunately or unfortunately nobody will remain on earth whan it will happen: change in sun's behaviour will also cause a mass extinction event because photosynthesis will collapse. no plants = no animals= no food for anybody and their grandma. humankind will have to leave earth on time in ~500m years; the red giant phase of sun is of no concern for some billion years.
