  2. if it helps: not everybody is so strict as USA, age of consent IS lower almost everywhere and for today's Japan it is 16. Kiku, the hot escort girl from Shogun was per novel 17 and Mariko was married at such age for some time already; that was 1600-ish japan, so such an age fits with the timeline the game will take place.
