  3.  @boereherp8705  vdL already gave clear indication the "no extension" stance by Boris will not work. it is no deal then or UK will have to nod off everything on light speed, not much wiggle room left. my guess she is to become the official EU representative to say it to his face instead of drop more hints via interview. and he knows she will mention it. :D

  7.  @jameshumphreys9715  fine, but will Britain buy that from PM ? he will have to ask every 6 months or so for another extension AND convince Commons to back him for application.

  8.  @jameshumphreys9715  AFAIK UK will have to ask nicely before end of june for extension, so that wiggle room is already warranted. so if UK asks and extends until end of 2021, both sides might even solve the issue by then. also possible: ask for extension until dec 2021, but if everybody is satisfied earlier with negotiations, then cut it off by any amount of months.
