@KenFullman covering for frostbite while skiing is already an agreed exception; but you have to drop all covers on demand. shopkeepers are allowed to show you the door if you dont comply immediately.

@KenFullman it is and usually nobody throws a tantrum about the rule. you also cannot enter any bank or gas station with a closed biker helmet on for years afaik. no ifs and buts for nobody; drop the covers immediately upon entering or stay outside.

@KenFullman by all means: cover your nose in such situations !! frostbite is no joke up in the alps and yes you are entitled to look like a well wrapped mummy out there around the Matterhorn and around Davos. :) you just cannot visit banks etc. in such garb unless you are able to unwrap your pretty face ;)
