  15.  @burbahawa  what about soledar and bakhmut? Neither of those set the russian war effort in a positive light. All these show is that russia has no ability to break defences in a sustainable or efficient way and is only capable to achieve anything by brute forcing things trough commitment of disproportional amounts of resources that are detrimental to their entire war effort. Capturing a village of 10k people and capturing half of a 70k town has cost them all their experienced soldiers, all their experienced armour crews, most of their most modern equipmen and more men then many multi year wars have cost combined in total over the last decades. They fail completely at combined warfare, the groups making assaults now no longer have any tactical ability, quality of leadership is completely idiotic if the same single tactical attack is repeated over 35 times and still haven't lead to anything but the loss of men and equipment every time. The only thing that it is still capable of is leveling anything in sight to the ground with their artillery. The artillery that has been the main focus of the complete ukrainian army for months and is becomming less and less capable and is firing less and less shells daily. The equipment they manage to bring forward is only getting older as they are forced dig deeper into their soviet stocks because they don't have the industrial capability to manufacture new equipment. Yeah they took a bits of territory here and there over the last 7 or 8 months, but they had to expend as much resources and men most of the world countries combined have as standing armies. That is not what success looks like. If it is anything it is deeply shameful as this whole thing serves no purpose whatsoever. It is the russian guns that is holding together the russian army for now. But once they are forced to stop firing there is nothing of the russian army left but a bunch of clueless untrained guys with guns using barely functional ancient equipment running around like headless chickens. Everyone who had a clue was pushed into ukrainian defences towards certain death months ago already. If you take a step back and look at the big strategic picture, the situation is pretty dire for the russian army. It is just a matter of time until it has to retreat if it wants to conserve anything of it's army or falls apart completely once ukraine goes on the offensive again. Anyone who thinks russia is doing well or has any chance of winning anything at this point is delusional or is being payed to stay blind to reality.
