Hasn't the ukrainian airforce been pretty much out of the war for months now? I don't think they are flying many sorties anymore. I do see a lot of drone videos from the ukranian army though. The russians just don't seem to rely on airpower as much as western armies do i think. They love their artillery

That is the case in most of europe. There really hasn't been a threat for a while we would need it for. Even though most armies are small, they do have high quality equipment and also a main focus on airpower. And these armies should not be looked at in isolation. It is trained and designed to be deployed as a nato force if anything where to happen. If you look at the combined nato force it is capable to deal with anything it would face. Especially with it's superiour intelligence and air strike capability it would take away most of the attack capability of any threat quickly. Russia simply doesn't have the resources to make a move on europe. And neither does it have any wishes to do that either. Beyond that there really is nothing else. And once nukes get involved the party is over anyway.

I think they have a lot of people still in training. Proper training is important if you have the ability.

Troops are only a burden if you do not have the ability to supply them.

@prophetsspaceengineering2913 sure, their army is probably structured around not having to rely on airpower. It is just a choice and a different way of approaching things, both have their bennefits and negative sides. It's all about efficient resource application.

@ExTrumpSupporter who is going to attack europe? Russia's equipment would be exhausted before he left poland if the airforces all would come down on it. It would never be able to manage or maintain any logistical supply lines beyond it's borders with nato having air superiority. And this war in ukraine just proves that. Ukraines airforce was out of the game a week into the war and russia is still struggling.

Blitzkrieg is something from the past.

I think tides will keep shifting for a good while still. This is far from over.

When does your service start?

I think most use the same shells. Nato equipment is pretty streamlined exactly because of logistics.

@luizviniciusvieiraalexandr4979 that's true. But it is better then nothing i am sure. If they had the choice they rather had all the same units for sure.

They where fighting a beaten army of kids and elderly men back then, backed by a country that was mobilised completly and had been pumping out war supplies for years ana was at their peak of efficienty because of it.. I like to shit on rusdia as much as the next guy, but those really are completely different things.
