And yet the dutch are once again a key player in world politics. It always has been the little chiauwa that punches like mike tyson lol. Amazing.

@Kevin-np3sx if your homework is that important, don't let it lying around for everyone to copy ey. Or give it to people who will share it with people you dont like. The slow kids will find a way to copy it if you let them. Everyone has been copying the usa's homework for 100 years without problems, And the usaused to copy everyones elses homework the 100 years before that lol. It is just how the world works, stop whining and just make sure you are always 2 chapters ahead of the asigned homework.

This is going to backfire spectacularly. These regresive policies simply don't work, they never have and never will. If it does not want to invest in it's future, others will and eventually pass it by. The usa has become a regresive country and is trying to stay up front by holding the entire world back. It is basicly signing your eventual surrender.

I am glad there is international resistance against this move. This is going to backfire for the usa in a major way.

@nicholaspribble7971 another endless war the usa can never win, you'd think at a certain point they would learn something.

@Kevin-np3sx the reason there is no more innovation is that huge conglomerates dominate wvery single industry and crush any attwmpt of real innovation. They either sue it into oblivion or simply buy them out and let it die. If anything, china is the one innovating nowdays. They come to market with new ideas in matter of months. They are able to itterate on eachothers ideas and quickly improve on existing ideas. The whole world will suffer population decline soon enough. World population growth is slowing rapidly and population is set to peak this century as more of the world develops and is pulled out of poverty. It will not just be china dealing with this.

The usa is lashing out like a spoiled little child. Trying to hold on to their position without willing to actually do what is necesary to stay up front. Trying to stay ahead by trying to hold the rest of the world back just does not work, it never has and never will. This is going to backfire so spactacularly and will piss off most of their allies as well. I am glad the rest of the world is standing up to the big bully, enough is enough. If the usa doesn't want to get their shit in order it should be left behind with their regresive politics and war mongering.

@VectorOfKnowledge lol 👍

Matching asml is going to be a problem. Which is what put china behind. The chip design and actual production shouldn't be a problem for china. The usa is in basicly the same situation as china. It can also not create the machines themselves and is barely keeping up in the production sphere even though having access to these machines. If asml would cut off the usa it would simply fall behind, just like china.

This is going to have much bigger effects then just higher electronics prices. Power is shifting and this is only going to make the process more ugly then it already was.
