Yes, the good life comes from knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. I say this as a former non-believer. I have never been more blessed or happy. Philippians 4:19KJV - But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

@@jim-fv2nz As a former non-believer I used to think that Jesus and the Bible were fairy tales; it all seemed too good to be true. Then I discovered it REALLY IS TRUE. God's word is a light to our path and God makes us the lights of the world. Men usually love darkness rather than the light because darkness covers their evil deeds. Psalm 119:105 KJV - Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Matthew 5:14 KJV - Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. John 1:5 KJV - And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. It is one of the best he has done. Appalachia is a very Christian and poor part of the US. They are rich in the things of the Lord.

@sicsempertyrannis3782 You're correct. East KY is the sticks. There are almost no jobs but you can definitely get a property and be left alone for cheap. They also tend to walk around barefoot.

It's not just a regular book, it's a spiritual book. @ThePurpleOwl Not eating meat is what the Bible calls a "doctrine of devils" and God gave mankind dominion over all the living creatures. Veganism isn't wise and it isn't Biblical. Our bodies require animal proteins to help the hormones in the body work properly (especially men with testosterone). @beanmeupscotty The Bible tells us to come to the Lord as little children (obedient to and believing everything a good Father says). It's not related to what the world would view as childishness. Believers are children of God. Galatians 3:26 - For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

It is not good for long-term health and it can potentially create health/mental issues due to deficiencies and hormonal imbalances. For example, men becoming "soy boys", is a real thing.

@langskeppet9887 I agree that factory farming is not natural or healthy and it is detrimental to the environment. In a perfect world we would all have a little homestead and properly raise our own livestock. Even God appreciates the "sweet savor" of meat cooking on a fire. God owns the cattle on a thousands hills as well as all the wild animals. You can definitely say that the Bible does not support a vegan diet. Psalm 50:10-12 10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. 11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

The smell was a "sweet savor" to the Lord. Even God Almighty likes the smell of meat cooking, as I previously stated. Eating more fruits, vegetables, nuts and legumes is a great idea but long-term a plant-based diet is not balanced. I have experience with a strict vegetarian diet and I would not recommend it for health and also because it's not Biblical. To have no carbon footprint someone needs to be deceased. That idea is propaganda created by people that live in mansions, fly in private jets and want people to pay (them) carbon taxes to exist. Meanwhile God gave mankind dominion over the earth and said to be fruitful and multiply. It is big industry that pollutes not mainly individual human beings.
