  2.  @ShayKMBR  McDonald's food and paying for childcare are luxuries. The way it's supposed to work is the husband works and the wife and mother stays at home to care for the children. She is supposed to cook for her family and provide the childcare.

  8. It's a fact that the more education and money someone has the less children they tend to have. So people making a decent amount of money and saving for retirement are whining that having children is "unaffordable", whilst people living in mud huts somewhere else in the world, have multiple children. It's all about perspective and personal values. The people that have told me that children are "unaffordable" almost always have more money than an entire family living modestly could require. It's often about the love of money. Children are priceless and being terminated at an alarming rate and the birth rate is so low people aren't even replacing themselves, in most richer developed countries. 1 Timothy 6:10 KJV - For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

  12. You're right. Keep expenses as low as possible and live in a cheaper location. Get accustomed to only relying on one modest income. People are drawn to expensive communities that aren't designed for families and don't know how to save money.

  18. That's truly sad that you think of her as nothing more than a burden and don't recognize the blessing that she is. Putting a roof over a child's head, giving them food and clothing is the bare minimum, it's actually legally required. Parenting is so much deeper than that. Proverbs 22:6 KJV - Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

If everyone sits around and complains about how expensive things are and that they can't possibly handle the "impossible burden " of children, I think that most people will tend to just follow suit. There will be no more happy families for people to admire if it's nothing but "DINKS", bragging about their free time and travel.

  23. Human beings aren't animals. We are eternal beings that were made a little lower than angels. People used to naturally have large families and consider them a blessing. Today children are primarily viewed as burdens and the birth rate has never been lower. People are buying the propaganda that it's "impossible" to have a lifelong marriage or to be able to "afford" children. One of the "experts" in this video said that their is "no evidence that having children makes people happier." This is just the nihilistic mentality of the current generation. Personally, I am happier married and raising children, living on one income and taking care of our children myself, than I ever was single. There are other families out there doing the "impossible" and raising children right now, on modest single incomes. If this is your heart's desire as well, pray to God about it and just see what He will do. Psalm 113:9 KJV - He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord. Hebrews 2:7 KJV - Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

  25. People seem to think that all parents are supposed to do is what is legally required of them; feed, clothe, shelter and then ship to govt training facility for free childcare.

  28.  @elise85391  I am a mother of young children and happy to say that I am expecting another. Childbirth can be challenging but it pales in comparison to the immense blessing you receive. God has always taken care of our family and provided for all of us on one income. None of us are going without. We trust God 100% and I think that is the issue today. A lot of people just don't trust God. Jeremiah 17:7 KJV - Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
