As a scientist, one must rely on accurate data and observable facts. However, the question of the divine is one of personal interpretation and may exist beyond the current limitations of our human understanding. In fact “God” as we know it may simply be an advanced alien life form beyond our technological knowledge and capacity to comprehend. While I understand the emotional comfort that the concept of life after death provides, logic dictates that we must consider the known facts. There is no empirical evidence to support the existence of an afterlife. Our experiences suggest that death is the cessation of biological functions, not a transition to another state of being. Therefore, I believe that, unless proven otherwise, life after death is not a logical conclusion. I advocate for accepting death as part of the natural cycle of existence, focusing on how one lives and the contributions made during one’s lifetime rather than on speculative beliefs about what happens afterward.
