I feel like saying "the universe is growing, so if you go back in time then it would be infinitely small" is about the same as saying "my kid is growing bigger every day, so if you go back in time, then my kid was infinitely small at one point in the past" No matter how you look at this statement, its wrong. At birth kids are not microscopic. Or looking at it another way, even a single cell is not "infinitely small" You can't use linear, or exponential math to predict growth in the real universe. At some point it falls apart and is just math. Not reality.
