  2. There have been multiple times when there were multiple competitors from america with near the same times/abilites, but we were only able to send one. This is clearly an advantage to send more people. Imagine if america was able to send as many athletes as all of europe. We would have MANY MANY more medals. So the claim that "If you have the best it doesnt matter how many you send" is just European copium. Obviously more athletes means more chances to win. Not to mention as OP stated, that would allow america to take all the medals from many sports, instead of just one or 2. There is no honest person who would not say that europe has a massive advantage in this area. Just europeans on copium would disagree.

  3. seems very dishonest to say that more competitors does not give more chances to win... injuries happen.
