  4. Its actually encouraged to take them out to the real world in many places as just rotting in a house is not good for them mentally. I dont know about the elderly, but its definitely the case for mentally disabled people. Its good for them. Shopping is a normal place to go to as it does not cost the home money and it gives them real world experience. I used to do that job as a late teen early 20 something. Other places we would go would be to the bowling alley, or to parks. Some even have "jobs" like organizing recycling and then we would take them to the recycling center and they could keep the money they earned and use it for stuff... usually McDonalds... Now obviously the abuse is wrong, but I just dont want you thinking that its bad to bring them out in public. Thats a very medieval viewpoint.

  37. yes and no. I feel like that is the same as saying that anyone who falls for a phone scam deserves to lose their money. The only difference is that in a phone scam they target the elderly, and in these types of scams they target young people who have not yet developed the ability to properly critical think.

  40. I gave each of my friends that asked for money, up to $100. I used it as a trust experiment. if they didnt pay me back when I told them i needed the money (and I knew they had it), i shut them out of my life. I now have no friends and am much happier.

  48. I used to be like her and trust people. I made a list of everyone that borrowed money. Out of about 20, maybe one or 2 ever paid me back before I realized it was a bad idea and not to trust my freinds. most just asked for more money.
