@nolagibson4569 Our ICU beds are at 70% capacity at any time of the year if covid had been allowed to sweep through the country in the early days of the pandemic when no one had any immunity our health system would have been crushed and the health authorities who run our hospitals knew it and so did the government

Jacinda Adern latest polling had her popularity at 40% which still made her the lost popular leader. When you have people threatening to kill you constantly you will get to a point the job just isn't worth it It's nothing to celebrate because people won't want to run for office and people who think it's okay to treat jacinda Adern that way what would they say if it was someone they voted for Our whole voting system will be ruined if we go down this road

@nolagibson4569 bullshit the housing was already a major problem under John key people were already sleeping in cars. The government had no choice but to lock the country down the heath system was too small to cope with covid sweeping through an unvaccinated population. We have less ICU beds per capita than a lot of other countries we would have been swamped their wouldn't have been enough ICU beds or oxygen for people who needed it and doctors and nurses also would have gone down the system would have collapsed and the death toll would have been far higher. National won't do anything when they get into power.

@MrsAsharpie National won't do anything they did nothing about housing when John key was in power they said there wasn't a housing problem yet we had people sleeping in their cars. National will come in and do the usual we will give you a tax cut which will only amount to a couple of bottles of milk. They will talk big about Crime and gangs but the gangs will still be there when they leave office. They will do the usual beneficiary bash Chris luxon had already called them bottom feeders but it's funny national always says they want to sort out welfare and get the bludgers working but only weeks ago we heard that we need more unemployment to get inflation down. None of the big political parties in New Zealand give a damn about the average person.

@markbandara4931 John key is getting dragged into this because the problems that New Zealand face now were present under the previous national government and they did nothing about it they wouldn't even admit the problems exist
