They can fly further than the range of the Russian artillery so they will be able to fly behind Russian lines and destroy their artillery. Without artillery the Russians are finished. The US and its allies are allowing this war to drag on when it doesn't need to. The Ukrainian are paying the price for this I've heard up to 100 dead a day plus 500 wounded. You take that every day for a year that's 219,000 casualties
