  4.  @arighteousname5882  no they didn't one of them was wounded the guy with the go pro then they stopped and fought where they were to the finish facing the enemy and they were facing dozens of fighters. The guy with the go pro was shot 7 times and was still fighting by the end he had 13 wounds.

  5.  @brodyllc  these guys are special forces one of their jobs is training other militaries. Niger is having on going issues with militants crossing the border from Mali and slaughtering whole villages. They asked for the Green Berets to be there to help their military.

The families recently were shown the footage he was hit 7 times and was still. fighting and pointing out targets for Dustin Wright. By the end he apparently had 13 wounds

  12. It's international waters anyone is free to sail through there as well as the south china sea. Why do the Chinese send their ships into areas far away from china maybe they should keep their ships close to the Chinese coastline and don't go anywhere else. The reality is the world's oceans are international shipping lanes so that everyone can go where they want when they want.

  13.  @jamesheaney7049  Yes I agree the SUV didn't have any armour upgrades which cost around 85,000 dollars they had no chance trying to drive out of that ambush in that vehicle. They weren't equipped to go on a mission after a high value target who was always going to be well defended.

  14. The Niger government wants the green berets to train their army they are having major on going issues with millitants crossing from Mali and murdering people. The Niger military lost close to 180 dead in two ambushes in late 2020 early 2021

  16.  @micaheiber1419  the SUV wasn't facing heavy machine gun fire in the ambush they were facing AK47 and 7.62mm PKM fire. I have also seen a demonstration on YouTube of an up armoured SUV taking multiple hits from a browning 12.7mm and they weren't penetrating. Bottom line they sent US personal on a mission into the worst part of Niger in an SUV that you would use to drive to a shopping mall. The results speak for themselves just look at the footage in the trailer with Dustin Wright laying flat on the seat of the SUV with the bullet coming straight through the window inches above him.

  19.  @micaheiber1419  3 of the 4 fatalities were the guys in the SUV at their ambush site there were no heavy machine guns at that ambush site. An up armoured SUV would have got them out of the original ambush site and given them a chance of surviving the mission the way things were they had no chance. The senior leadership sent them up there into the worst part of Niger on a kill or capture mission they didn't even have any .50 machine guns or mk 19 automatic grenade launchers on the trucks. They also had no QRF available and after the mission disaster the senior leadership said they would make armoured vehicles available which was really good of them.

China is full of sh.t they want to tell other people where they can sail but they think they should be able to go wherever they want. The Chinese should stay out of the South Pacific the region doesn't need them there

The ground commander asked to call of the mission he told them he didn't have the Intel or equipment for it and he was ordered to carry on
